For this 2003 Mercedes S600 RENN HAUS had the V12 engine balanced and blueprinted and the heads have been ported and polished. The engine was then rebuilt with custom cams and rods to handle the increased horsepower and torque.
This package also features a custom intercooler with a high flow pump and a set of matt black top-mounted water-to-air intercoolers along with a set of “scorpion” air intakes with K&N cone filters.
The 5-speed automatic transmission had to be upgraded allowing the car to handle the extra torque. The transmission was rebuilt at RENN HAUS by installing reinforced clutches for the forward five gears. The controller was reprogrammed to give the S600 a more “true” manual mode to hold gears more aggressively while delivering quicker, firmer shifts in “Sport” mode. Yet the Comfort mode retains the S600′s usual silkiness.
RENN HAUS also fabricated a custom exhaust from the headers back using 3” 304 stainless steel tubing and custom tips.
A remote digital lowering module was installed for customizing the ride height for differing situations.
The brake system was upgraded to the RENN HAUS Big Brake Kit with front 8 piston calipers and 16” rotors along with rear 4 piston calipers and 13” rotors along with steel brake lines.
RENN HAUS chose Vorsteiner V104 monoblock forged wheels in matt black; 20” x 8.5” front and 20” x 9.5” rear. These were fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2’s measuring 255/35ZR20 front and 285/30ZR20 rear.
This Saturday RENN HAUS will perform a custom ECU tune on the Dyno to take full advantage of these performance improvements. A Block Tuner with the tuned program and stock program communicates directly with the vehicle’s ECU, allowing one to easily switch between the high-performance tuning software and the factory file in a matter of minutes.
